bothy. — a working title

The quick way to store and retrieve what you reuse.

bothy. is a phone app that keeps your reusable text, links, images and files in one fast, focused place — one gesture away inside whatever app you are typing in. It is for anyone who keeps re-sending the same reply, re-attaching the same file, and re-filling the same form.

The mission

Half of what you type and attach each day is something you already had — scattered across notes, chats, screenshots, downloads and a dozen apps. Getting one thing back is a hunt.

bothy. wants to be the one place those things live: more purpose-built than a notes app, deliberately less than a file manager.

It is local-first. No accounts, no servers of ours, and nothing you save is uploaded to us — there is nowhere of ours for it to go.

And it is built in public. The demos below are living prototypes, updated near-daily as the real app takes shape.

The demos
The app The vault itself: capture, search, pin and filter — square tiles you recognise by colour before you read a word, in Android and iOS skins, on phone, Flip, Fold and tablet frames. Being built — the app is real and already runs on a phone; this mockup is its design bench. The Flip cover screen is an idea, not a commitment. The extensions The edge overlay and the vault keyboard, tried against a stand-in job application you fill without ever leaving the form. Half built, half concept — the overlay is being built for Android and simulated here; the keyboard is an iOS concept under research.
How to explore

Everything stays in the browser. The demos save to this device only — nothing uploads, and this page saves nothing at all.

Play rough. It is all demo data — Reset demo data on the extensions page puts that demo back the way it started.

The top switches are real. Each demo's top row changes the device frame — and in the app demo, the Android/iOS skin and the theme too.
